Within a period of one year, five very close family members and friends died, which lead to grief with uncomfortable depression and anxiety type symptoms. Our family stress spilled over onto my son creating ADD or difficulty with focus and motivation type symptoms. Neither of us were diagnosable, but we were struggling none the less. That's when I researched Neurofeedback (NFB) which I read about in College. We tried Linear NFB and although I found it helpful, it was very expensive, difficult to drive the distance to the nearest practitioner, and it had many limitations as to how it could help. Although I never had side effects with Linear NFB, my son did when a "protocol" was changed.
When I finally found NeurOptimal NFB, our lives changed significantly. We finally were able to calmly focus and do what we needed to do, without difficulty or discomfort. We could now do sessions in our home, when convenient to us, no longer driving to appointments. NeurOptimal helped decrease anxiety symptoms like ( jaw clenching and teeth grinding), and increase motivation (less procrastination) and confidence. It helped me feel less frustration and anger, and it increased my patience. Most importantly it helped me feel more in sync with myself, it was easier to be the way I wanted to be, instead of reacting in ways I didn't want to. NeurOptimal allowed my son to complete his homework and chores in a more efficient and timely manor, and it helped him reach new personal records in sports. The maturity and smiles that came along side the sessions were a huge plus too. It's one of the best things to bless our lives (besides family and friends), and one of the most intelligent investments of my money.
